This bagel is the poster child for the Official Bagel of the Boilermaker 15K road-race. Any Utican knows that the reason thousands of people sign up each year to run the historic boilermaker is for the free Saranac beer given out at the end. It is, however, a new tradition to fuel that run with a Saranac Beer Bagel Grove bagel before-hand. We use Saranac Black-Forest beer instead of water and yield a beautiful bagel with a darker color and wonderfully malty smell. Available the day of and a few days before the Boilermaker and for St. Patrick’s Day.
